The Minibus Management Course is the UK's only course to help those managing minbuses under a Section 19 Permit. It is delivered by Rivervale Minibus but approved by the Independent School's Bursars Association who are keen for their members to be confident they are running safe and legal minibuses.

Electric minibuses can now be driven on a B1 standard car licence

This article explains that drivers holding a car licence with no D1 entitlement can now (from June 2025) drive electric minibuses or ZEV (zero emission vehicles) with a GVW of up to 4,250 kg; where the the previous limit was 3,500kg. As with diesel minibuses, there is an additional allowance of 750kg for vehicles with wheelchair access for disabled passengers.
