Do you have to pass MiDAS to drive a 12-seat minibus?

No, there is no legal requirement to take MiDAS (Minibus Drivers Awareness Scheme) before you drive a minibus, but we highly recommend that all drivers of all size minibuses complete MiDAS every 4 years. alongside other driver training.

The DVSA requires minibus operators holding a Section 19 Permit or PSV O licence, to regularly train their drivers
